REVIEWERS

Dear Reviewer, thank you for your contribution to the EuGMS 2026 abstract review process!

When reviewing each abstract, please assign one overall score from 1 to 5, based on its scientific quality and presentation priority.

The scoring scale is as follows:

  • 5 – Outstanding quality: strong candidate for oral communication
  • 4 – High quality: may be considered for short poster presentation
  • 3 – Good quality: suitable for poster presentation
  • 2 – Fair quality: may still be considered for poster presentation
  • 1 – Low quality: consider rejection

The comment box can be used to explain the score, emphasize whether it is strongly advised for an oral or potential concerns.

Conflict of Interest
If you have a conflict of interest, for example if you are one of the authors or if the abstract has been submitted by your own research group, please do not assess it and leave the score blank.

Please base your overall assessment on the following three elements:

1. Innovation and originality
Please consider whether the abstract addresses a cutting-edge topic, has the potential to advance knowledge or practice in a specific area of health, and/or applies novel approaches or tests new hypotheses.

2. Scientific quality
Please consider the clarity of the objectives, the soundness and appropriateness of the methodology, study design and statistical approach, whether the research question is adequately addressed, the clarity of the results presented, the validity of the conclusions, and the overall clarity and conciseness of the abstract.

3. Clinical relevance and importance
Please consider the relevance of the topic to the EuGMS audience and older populations, its potential generalisability to clinical practice, and whether the topic, or its likely future developments, may be considered particularly relevant for geriatricians and geriatric care.

Please note that the final presentation format will depend not only on the score assigned, but also on the overall ranking of abstracts and the balance of the final scientific programme.
